The Riverview Tents sit slightly behind the riverfront, with open sightlines through to the Rufiji. The river is still part of the stay — visible from the veranda, present in the background, carrying sound through the day and into the night.
The tents are spacious and carefully furnished in a modern yet classic safari style, capturing the feel of a classic safari under canvas. Each tent has solar power for lights and a fan and an ensuite bathroom with hot water— some inspired by our mud hut design, others open-air, where you can shower under the stars or get ready to the coo of wood pigeons.
There’s a slightly softer feel to this position. A bit more shade from the trees, a bit more shelter, while still holding onto the view.
Afternoons tend to unfold slowly here — sitting out, watching the light move through the trees and onto the water beyond, the pace of the day easing without much effort.
