A new addition to Selous River Camp, our spacious, fully furnished Mud Hut with en-suite bathroom is more than meets the eye! Spend the night in the rustic style four-poster bed, made from branches collected from our lush forest, or refresh and wash off the Safari dust under the cooling shower. Four huge doors open onto a raised veranda which, with a magnificent view of the Rufiji River, is the ideal place to relax, drink in hand, as you watch the sun set over the water. The thatched roof and mud walls keep the hut cool during the hot days and blend into the surroundings, allowing you to watch rare black and white colobus monkeys feasting in the trees beside the hut. It is both tranquil and private and offers couples and families an alternative option in Tanzania.

Please Note: All Accommodation is Self-Catering. We strongly recommend you bring all food needed for your stay with you. The communal kitchen is very basic and food is cooked over a wood stove or charcoal. We can provide basic utensils with prior notice. Children are warmly welcomed though please remember all wild animals are potentially dangerous and roam freely in the area. Staying at Selous River Camp is strictly at your own risk.
